Families and individual drivers

For personal use the question is rarely "which van" — it's "side-entry or rear-entry," followed by "will the wheelchair user drive." We'll ask about the chair's dimensions and weight, where the van parks at home and at work, and whether anyone else in the family needs the front passenger seat. Then we quote across the conversion brands we carry, new and pre-owned. Many families come to us after a franchise mobility dealer quoted one brand only; we're glad to be the second opinion.

If a state vocational rehabilitation agency, the VA, or a nonprofit is contributing to the purchase, tell us early — those programs often have documentation and vendor requirements that are easier to meet before a vehicle is chosen than after.

Non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) and medical transport

NEMT vehicles live a hard life: hundreds of lift cycles a month, constant securement changes, drivers who rotate. We spec these for duty cycle first — commercial platform lifts, multiple wheelchair positions with commercial securement systems, floors that clean — and we'll talk frankly about which used units make sense for a fleet and which don't. Gurney/stretcher vans and combination wheelchair-plus-gurney layouts are available.

Because NEMT operators are often paid by brokers and Medicaid programs with their own vehicle standards, ask us for the conversion and lift compliance documentation on any vehicle you're considering; we keep it on file.

Senior living, assisted living and adult day programs

A community bus is a marketing asset as much as a transportation one — residents and their families judge the place partly by whether outings happen. The common spec is a 14-passenger, non-CDL cutaway with a rear or side wheelchair lift and flip seats, so the same bus does the grocery run, the doctor loop and the Sunday church trip. We'll help you plan a purchase against a budget year, and we're comfortable working with the paperwork that corporate-owned communities require.

Churches, schools, camps, hotels and municipal fleets

Organizations that rely on volunteer or non-CDL drivers usually want to stay at 15 total passengers or fewer; we'll explain the Pennsylvania rule and show you floor plans on both sides of it. Schools and camps should tell us whether the vehicle will be used for pupil transportation, which carries its own vehicle requirements. Hotels and municipalities typically need a lift-equipped bus to meet accessibility obligations — we'll spec to 49 CFR Part 38 where that applies.

Other dealers and fleet remarketers

We buy and sell wholesale, and we'll take trades. If you have accessible vehicles coming off lease or out of a fleet, call us before you send them to auction.
