Larger chassis (Ford F-650, International, Freightliner)
Mid-size buses on Ford F-650, International UC and Freightliner chassis carry the same 7-year / 70,000-mile umbrella, with manufacturer component terms underneath it (for example, on the F-650: chassis frame rail 5 years / unlimited miles, Cummins diesel major components 3 years / 300,000 miles, transmission 3 years / unlimited miles — each "or 7 years / 70,000 miles"). Ask us for the full sheet for the chassis you are considering.
Wheelchair lift
Braun wheelchair lifts installed on lift-equipped buses carry 7-year / 70,000-mile coverage with unlimited lift cycles.
How a claim works
You call us. Body items are handled through the manufacturer's authorized service network in your area; chassis items go to any Ford or Chevrolet commercial dealer. The bus never has to travel back to the factory, and you keep one point of contact for the whole purchase.
Common questions
Does the warranty cover the whole bus or just the body?
Both. The 7-year/70,000-mile coverage applies to the bus body structure and components and to the Ford or Chevrolet cutaway chassis, including the drivetrain. Component-level terms are in the table above.
Where is warranty work performed?
Locally, in your area. Body warranty work is handled through the manufacturer's service network and chassis work through any Ford or Chevrolet commercial dealer. The bus does not go back to the factory.
Is the warranty an extra-cost option?
No. It is included with every new StarCraft shuttle bus we sell at no additional charge.
Is the warranty transferable if we sell the bus?
We don't state transferability here because it is governed by the manufacturer's warranty manual, not this summary. Ask us and we'll pull the current terms for the specific bus.
Want the warranty terms on a specific bus?
Ask for a quote and we'll include the full warranty overview and the manual for that chassis.
